宇鉄（うてつ）は津軽半島北端、現在の外ヶ浜町三厩地域の集落。松前領主の船が三厩に無事着くと、ここに住む猟師清八が狼煙を上げて対岸へ知らせたと『蝦夷草紙』に記される。
名称の言語的由来は未確認。
