Ligatures (ヿ ゟ 𪜈) and repetition marks (ヽ ゝ 〳〵) are written out, and pre-reform kanji shapes are given their current form. A dotted underline marks each such run; hovering shows the characters as transcribed. A くの字点 that covers more than two characters is left as written.

Kana spelling follows the manuscript. Editorial corrections carry an “ed.” marker; editorial deletions carry “del.”. Select a marker to see the original text and the reason.

The transcribers' bracketed descriptions, comments and note references are left out of the reading text; a struck-through correction keeps the corrected reading. As written shows every mark.
