『蝦夷草紙』の樺太漂流記に現れる村。徳五郎らが長く海岸を歩いた末に九月十八日に着き、雪が降り始めたとする帰還の目印。シラヌシの表記差の可能性があるが、引用記録の字形を尊重する。
名称の言語的由来は未確認。
