熊石（くまいし）。現在の北海道八雲町西部、日本海岸の地域。近世には和人地と西蝦夷地の往来を管理する番所が置かれ、『蝦夷草紙』の境界・村落の説明に現れる。
名称の言語的由来は未確認。
