千島（ちしま）。北海道の東方からカムチャツカ方面へ連なる島々を指す歴史的な広域呼称。『北海随筆』では霧多布の先の島々を述べ、島の数や範囲について当時の情報を伝える。
名称の言語的由来は未確認。
