『蝦夷紀行』が、日本側で伝え聞く「キンチミ」はキチーのことであると説明する名称。湖畔の集落で住民が林蔵を囲み、その来訪を珍しがった場面に現れる。 地理的にはマリーンスクに対応するキチーの項を参照。
