Tamura and Kayano directly give tanpa this year, analysed as tan-pa, this-year. The source 当年 and the companion 當年 express the same Japanese heading with different character forms. A 1969 narrative uses tanpa for this year. Joined tanpa and spaced tan pa both occur, but the joined form also appears in a bridge narrative glossed this bank, so the total is not restricted to the year sense.
