ヘンバラタ
Ainu「先年」
Batchelor Hembarata and NINJAL hempara ta? mean when or at what time. The separated form accounts for the source’s syllables, but its fit with 先年 remains unexplained, leaving low confidence. hempara ka means sometime and is relevant to an indefinite-time explanation; it changes the final consonant. Tamura hempanno has a long-ago sense but a different form. Neither comparison establishes the printed expression as a previous-year term. The only hempara ta corpus match is NINJAL’s question. The companion gloss under 先年 explains it as いつの頃 and cannot independently resolve that mismatch.
