Ainu「影」
kurimedium
Batchelor directly records Kuri as shadow, shade or image. Tamura gives kuri(hi) as the possessed form of kur, shadow. Kuri accounts for the final リ, but an early kana rendering of final /r/ is also possible; the source alone does not establish possessed grammar. The recorded narrative biratori/006/003#131 uses kuri for a disappearing shadow or figure (1969 recording).
