ケウシユプ
Ainu「伯父」
kewsutumedium
The transcription’s final プ is corrected to ツ゚: the marked angular glyph matches ツ゚ on the adjacent sister entry. Fukasawa’s comparative table also reads ケウシユツ゜ and gives kewsutu. This is the documented possessed form of kewsut “uncle,” with kewsutu and kewsutuhu in narrative contexts. Kewsut is a root-form alternative. Regional sources also give older man or father senses, and the specific elder-uncle distinction in 伯父 is not independently established. The manuscript spelling is preserved in the correction record.
