テンネツ
Ainu「童子」
tenneplow
Tennep is directly attested for an infant or very young child, with many narrative examples. The source, however, ends in an unmarked ツ-like sign. The correspondence to final p is uncertain, and 童子 is broader than the usual infant sense. The editorial correction records テンネプ while preserving テンネツ as the source form. A related witness has テン子ブ under 赤子, supplying a comparison. The lower confidence here qualifies the lexical identification and the broader 童子 gloss. The literal tennet has no corpus match. The lexical candidate is retained with lower confidence in its fit to this spelling.
