チマイレカムイ
Ainu「天子」
Batchelor gives the complete expression for the Japanese emperor and also a governor. The NINJAL edition based on the 1898 dictionary gives cimayre kamuy for 天皇. This supports the title, while its etymology remains uncertain. Fukasawa questions the commentary’s heated-food analysis and compares ci- with mayre “pay respects”. That comparison does not prove a historical derivation.
