The complete nitne kamuy is documented for a fierce or harmful deity. That supports a lexical comparison with 閻魔王, while the particular Buddhist identification remains the source’s gloss. The facsimile has a distinct extra sign after ニ, followed by ツ and a 子-shaped ネ; its angular shape also resembles ツ elsewhere on this page. Nitne does not account for every sign. Nitutune and nittune are literal spelling-based comparisons without lexical confirmation. The modern and biblical corpus senses do not settle the extra kana or identify the deity with the Buddhist judge of the dead.
