トーケシ
Ainu「晩方」
tókesmedium
Tókes is documented for dusk or early evening, matching 晩方. The existing spelling and rating are retained; the acute accent comes from Tamura rather than being inferred from the source’s length mark. To kes displays the dictionary’s day-end analysis. Batchelor also records a lake-end homonym, so raw matches do not all establish the time sense. Modern approximate-hour explanations are not converted into a fixed time for the historical source. The thirteen to kes matches either cross phrase boundaries in kes to kes to or kes to kes pa, or mean the lower end of a lake. Two tókes examples in Ainu Times issue 12 are translated with lunch or midday; they do not support the evening identification.
