Teykur transcribes テイグル; teykuru retains the written final vowel. The consulted evidence provides no independently attested teykur. Nikur is the better-supported lexical candidate: Kayano and Batchelor record it for tree shade, the corpus includes ni kur with that meaning, and the comparison extract has 林原／ニイクル. The connection remains tentative because the initial kana differ (テイ／ニイ), and 林 and 木陰 are different meanings.
