バナケタ「川下」 → panake ta

Interpretation confidence: medium

Tamura gives panake(he) for the downstream side and ta as the locative particle. Together panake ta account for the complete バナケタ; the earlier panake omitted the written final タ. The grammar and paired upstream entry support this reading, and corpus record biratori/003/002#2 uses i=panake ta for a downstream location. That later evidence does not date the phrase to the manuscript.
