シツポホ
Ainu「孫」
mippolow
Mippo retains the established lexical identification ‘grandchild’, supported by Tamura, Chiri and Hirayama's comparison for this historical heading. The source's initial シ and final ホ remain unresolved, so the exact historical form is qualified. Mippoho, mitpo and mitpoho are documented comparisons. Batchelor's Shutpo supports a different initial consonant but does not attest sitpoho or sutpoho. Adding ho to those forms by analogy supplies no independent lexical evidence. The literal sitpo corpus hit concerns treating a hide and is unrelated to grandchildren.
