Okanci is independently documented as a ship’s rudder. Its only corpus match has that sense. The source uses ヲガンヂ beside a star diagram, so a rudder-shaped star group is a plausible comparison. The commentary has the longer ヲカンチリコブ, and Fukasawa cites a later okanci nociw identification; those tails are absent here. Nojiri presents the rudder interpretation tentatively. The exact constellation and derivation remain unresolved; no rikop or nociw is added to the selected reading.
