モシㇼ（mosir）。『藻汐草』はこの項目で「島」と訳す。田村辞典は国土やまとまった土地にも使う語とし、人が住まない土地にも用いる。個別の島名ではない。

Interpretation confidence: medium

Tamura explicitly includes island among the meanings of mosir, alongside land and country. This supports 島. Final リ is compared with modern final r; selecting the lemma does not settle whether an extra vowel was pronounced.
