ヘロングル
Ainu「貧者」
Batchelor directly records heron as poor or destitute. Together with kur “person,” it accounts for the source’s whole expression and 貧者. Hirayama makes the same component comparison. Neither heron nor the full heron kur phrase has a corpus match here. The dictionary entry supports this analysis, but the evidence is insufficient to establish its dialect or historical use as a fixed social label.
