Batchelor directly lists Raochi for rainbow, supporting raoci as a single selected reading of ラヲチ. Kayano and Nakagawa attest rayoci; Rawoci also occurs with an explicit rainbow translation in the 2011 Bihoro intermediate textbook, step 29 (corpus zaidan-textbooks/bihoro-intermediate/29#4). The variation does not justify silently imposing rayoci on this historical form. The textbook says its examples are mostly newly composed, so this is a modern pedagogical comparison, not proof of historical or independently recorded speech.
