The existing kunnewan? proposal and its uncertainty marker are retained at low confidence. Fukasawa's proposed kunnewa an contraction is not established. Hattori records regional kunnewa and kunnewano for morning, while the source has final ン; kunneywa and Batchelor's kunnei-wano are further comparisons. No new attestation settles that ending or justifies presenting kunnewan without the question mark. The only kunnewa corpus example is modern social-media writing. The early-morning sense and historical dialect remain qualified.
